We are available anytime Monday through Friday and all day Saturday and Sunday. Most client’s love the one hour session but we offer a mini half-hour session as well. Contact us today to schedule your session.

When I saw my wife for the first time in her wedding dress I cried, and when I said those two little words “I do” I had just married the love of my life! From developing film in the dark room as a teenager to attending the Academy of Art University in college, photography has always been in our blood. Blue Boat Photography came from a song we would sing to our son at bath time, and when it came time to choose our name nothing felt more right.

Meet James
I’ve always been a little hopeful, excited for what’s coming next. Aren’t you?
Hi, I’m James! I’m an Arizona native always looking for a shady parking spot! Born in Mesa, I have lived all over the valley. My dad owned a tire shop when I was young so the smell of new tires will still usually make me feel 4 years old again. Our family moved to the white mountains when I was in Highschool and I found myself falling in love with the forest, nature and black and white film photography, which is were my journey began.
Some people call me a photographer, some people call me Maurice, my wife calls me lucky (haha) and my favorite people on the planet call me dad! I’m a father to three amazing little men, a husband to an amazing woman and a friend to most. I love the rain and a warm blanket like nobody’s business, and am so thankful my wife convinced me to get the king size bed every time the kids think it’s grand central station. I once kissed a truck for 29 hours to beat out 7 other competitors in a “Kiss a truck contest,” so I might be a little unwilling to quit. When all is said and done I’m a normal guy, I just take pictures for a living, or as I like to say, “I just push a button.”
